I just wanted to lose the baby weight…

And accidentally found the secret to strength, confidence and self-love

How it started…Circa 2012

You love your kids.

You crave your vitality.

You deserve both.

Being a mom doesn’t have to mean losing yourself.

True results happen in the 23 hours you live …not just the hour you squeeze in at the gym

You’ve carried babies, carried burdens, carried everyone else’s expectations.
You go from diaper changes to deadlines, from school runs to dinner prep, from midnight wakeups to morning meetings.
Somewhere in that swirl, your relationship with your body changed.

Maybe you tried to “bounce back,” skipped meals, hustled harder … but you ended up tired, resentful, disconnected.

This is for the mom who’s done pretending she must choose between being a great mom and being a whole woman.

Motherhood is beautiful …and your body shouldn’t feel negotiable.

When I tell you I get it… please believe me …. I get it!

When I tell you I get it… please believe me — I get it.

This whole journey started because I just wanted to lose the baby weight.

After having my son in my 30s, recovery hit differently than it did after my daughter in my 20s. I felt stuck in a body that didn’t feel like mine and desperate to “fix” it.

Friends were doing Insanity workouts, so I figured … I feel insane; maybe it’ll work. Until one day, mid-jumping lunge, trying to make my baby laugh… I dislocated my knee.

Frustrated and determined, I searched “how to lose weight without hurting your knee,” and that one search changed everything. I discovered bodybuilding and a new level of strength I didn’t know existed.

I didn’t have a gym membership, I didn’t know what I was doing, and I was broke. But I had a Walmart nearby to buy a pair of dumbbells, and a fire in my spirit.

From there, I trained in my garage (sometimes in my ex-husband’s boxers…not cute at all!) and eventually competed multiple times a year, becoming a Figure Pro in 2016, all while raising my kids as a single working mom.

That journey taught me discipline, resilience, and reverence for the body God gave me. It also revealed what most fitness programs don’t teach: true transformation isn’t about fixing your body … it’s about learning to listen to it.

Today, I help other women (especially mothers) reconnect with their bodies in a way that’s sustainable, spiritual, and real.

Because you deserve to feel strong, confident, and at peace in the body you live in.

You don’t need a “mom version” of wellness.

You need a whole woman container.

The Body Ministry™ isn’t a “mom’s workout plan.”

It’s a rhythm system built to support your body, your energy, and your purpose … whether you have toddlers or teenagers demanding your attention.

I created it for women like us…who are doing everything and just want something that works.

You don’t need another restrictive plan or perfect routine.
You need a system that honors your life, your energy, and your evolution as a mother.

This is where real structure meets real life.

Where wellness becomes second nature.
Where your health fuels your purpose…instead of draining you.

Where you learn how to nourish, restore, and reclaim your presence….regardless if you go to the gym or not

For Your Little Ones…

I created Natural Fit Kids because I couldn’t find a coloring book that was affordable, educational, and reflected my children—Black and brown kids who deserve to see themselves in wellness.

As a mom on my own fitness journey, I wanted my kids to grow up seeing health as normal and fun. So I created a coloring book using their real nicknames, Savannah Banana and Apple Jax, filled with play, healthy recipes, and movement-based activities.

Later, I expanded the series with new characters, Micah and Josh, inspired by my clients’ kids. Their book focuses on indoor and outdoor play to help kids build a joyful connection to movement.

I believe it’s important to normalize to healthy behaviors to our children. Every child deserves to know they can be a healthy fit kid too.
