Welcome to your Menstrual Phase!
Where strength begins with surrender.
Welcome to your Menstrual Phase … the sacred reset of your cycle.
This is your time to release, restore, and realign.
In The Body Ministry, we don’t push through this phase — we honor it.
Your body is doing deep internal work right now, and rest is part of your training plan. This is where hormones reset, inflammation lowers, and your nervous system repairs from everything you’ve built in the last cycle.
Think of this week as your foundation phase — where your next level of strength and radiance is being quietly rebuilt.
Energy Insight
During the menstrual phase, warm food = flow.
When you eat warm, mineral-rich foods, you’re literally signaling safety to your body — this keeps cortisol low and fat loss metabolism active, even while resting more.
Reality Reframe
What we’ve been taught vs. what’s actually true in the menstrual phase:
We were taught:
Rest means weakness.
Push through the discomfort.
Productivity only counts when you’re doing.
Taking days off slows progress.
Biological reality:
Your body is already working hard — menstruation is a full-body detox and reset.
Rest lowers cortisol, balances hormones, and supports fat loss long-term.
Gentle movement improves circulation and eases cramps.
Stillness enhances clarity, creativity, and intuition.
💬 Rest isn’t quitting — it’s recalibrating your power.
Progress Focus for This Phase.
Track progress through restoration metrics, not intensity:
Notice mood stability, sleep depth, and digestion.
Record body temperature, bloating, and energy on your Cycle Tracker.
Rest is your progress … this is where your metabolism repairs and fat loss pathways reopen.
AVOID (If Possible)
Cold or raw foods (smoothies, salads) — strain digestion and create bloating.
Skipping meals — worsens fatigue and PMS.
Caffeine overload — heightens cramps and anxiety.
Alcohol — increases inflammation and water retention.
HIIT or long cardio — spikes cortisol, slows fat loss.
Tight waistbands — restrict circulation and digestion.
Sleeping late — throws off melatonin and hormonal reset.
Scrolling before bed — over-stimulates the nervous system.
Neglecting hydration — worsens headaches and constipation.
Ignoring emotions — bottling up creates energetic stagnation.
